I can open the vacuum cleaner bottom and see that the part is missing. It should be oval where it connects to the vacuum and then extend into the cloth bag. PLEASE HELP!

The Heritage 84 had two different bag assemblies available. One is a dump-out bag. The dirt simply dumps through the bottom. The other is the bagged style which has a full length zipper to open it. Inside it should contain a "bag fill tube", and a to ... Kirby Heritage II Vacuum

Lately, my Kirby Ultimate G has been acting funny. When I push it forward, it's fine, but when I pull it backward on the carpet, the light on the front flickers and the power flutters off an on. I thought it might be the rollers, so tonight I turned the machine over and pulled out the hair that was wrapped around the roller. However, that did not fix the problem. I should probably backtrack a little bit. In the past, I have had problems with the vacuum running over its own power cord.

The cord will need to be replaced with a cord made for the machine, as it has a non-standard plug. The cord cover is held in place with a # 20 Torx screw. Remove the screw and push the cover gently from behind to unlatch it. The handle must also be r ... Kirby Ultimate G Bagged Upright Vacuum

I have a Dirt Devil M088400 - Vision Turbo Vacuum. A spring fell from the bottom and the carpet height adjust isn't working. The rollers under the unit won't stay in place either. Can you tell me how to put the carpet height adjust back together?

The roller attaches to wheels. There is a spring that attaches from roller to hight adjustment selector which is a plastic peice with a little hook on bottom that spring attaches to. Both peices should have a hook that the spring ttaches to. ... Dirt Devil Vacuums

Last night as I was vacuuming, I noticed that the belt stop indicator light was on. I pulled out the hair that had gotten tangled around the brush in hopes of solving the problem. It didn't change things. I then unscrewed the entire bottom piece to take out the brush roller. I removed hair from the end piece of the brush roller and reattached the belt; however, I cannot figure out where the microchip is supposed to go so that I can reassemble the base piece by screwing it back together. It seems

Not sure what you mean when you refer to a "microchip" but maybe it is a sensor that works with the belt.\015\012Anyway, if you Google the make and model number of your vacuum you can probably get an exploded view or owners manual that might indicate ... Vacuums

Vacuum either stops for no reason and can't be restarted without unplugging and waiting 1/2 hour to restart, or it simply will not turn on at all. The red light comes on when the "On" button is pressed. I took it back today for the 4th time in a month to where it was purchased. They called later and said it was running fine and they could not detect a problem. The last three times they have (1) replaced the roller brush, (2) "unclogged" the vacuum, and (3) "adjusted" the belt.
