Last night as I was vacuuming, I noticed that the belt stop indicator light was on. I pulled out the hair that had gotten tangled around the brush in hopes of solving the problem. It didn't change things. I then unscrewed the entire bottom piece to take out the brush roller. I removed hair from the end piece of the brush roller and reattached the belt; however, I cannot figure out where the microchip is supposed to go so that I can reassemble the base piece by screwing it back together. My Fantom Thunder upright has a blockage that sounds like it is directly above the dirt bin in the "head". I cannot access it from inside the bin chamber by going up the nozzle with a claw parts retriever. (This is the older model where the cyclone nozzle doesn't come off.) I have a VAX V12 vacuum cleaner which suddenly stopped. The smell indicated Carbon Brush Problems. I have a Hoover Windtunnel U 6439-900. The agitator brush will not turn. I installed 2 new belts, # 38528034, and # 38528-035 There is so much slack in belt # 3852034 (brush drive) that it cannot grip the brush. There does not seem to be any adjustment to take up the slack. I've put in new belts twice now & cannot get brush to rotate or tighten the belt to the brush.
