Having problems with your Miele s558 Silver Moon Vacuum ?

Suction power level drops to zero, need to constantly readjust suction power from zero to normal operating level Appears to be some type of loose connection between hose coupler and base unit

Answers :

Ok, so where as both of the solutions above are good, they will not solve your problem with the hose cutting off to 0, then having to turn it back on.
\015\012This problem is caused by the static electricity which causes the hose controls to jump back down to the off setting. I have seen this issue on several Silver Moon and Blue Moon models before.
\015\012The only way to fix this problem is to purchase a brand new, redesigned hose. The new hose can be purchased here; Miele Electric Hose Miele Part # SES 125 .
\015\012In fact, I'm so sure that this new hose will fix the problem to your Miele, that if you do purchase the hose from GoVacuum, we'll give you a 60 day satisfaction money back guarantee. If this hose doesn't fix your problem, you may return it to GoVacuum within 60 days for a full 100% refund, no restocking fees or shipping charges will be deducted. We'll even include a free return label you can use to return the hose to us at our expense!

Hello :

Here I'll tell you how to maintain a vacuum cleaner . I hope that will help :

  1. \015\012\015\012\011\011\011\011\011\011\011\011\015\012\015\012\011\011\011\011\011\011\011\0111. Check regularly for blockages in the pipe. Blockages in \015\012the pipe can reduce suction and cause a build of debris which clog the \015\012machine once it enters the filter.
  2. \015\012
  3. \015\012\015\012\011\011\011\011\011\011\011\011\015\012\015\012\011\011\011\011\011\011\011\011\015\012\015\012\011\011\011\011\011\011\011\0112. If your cleaner has lost suction check to ensure the brush\015\012 is free of clutter. Hair, cotton and frayed carpet can often form \015\012blockages within the brush unit.
  4. \015\012
  5. \015\012\015\012\011\011\011\011\011\011\011\011\015\012\015\012\011\011\011\011\011\011\011\011\015\012\015\012\011\011\011\011\011\011\011\0113. If after cleaning the brushes the vacuum still suffers a \015\012suction problem, you'll need to check the filters. These will need to be\015\012 cleaned or replaced depending on how often you use your vacuum, you \015\012might want to keep a spare set of filters to ensurevacuum cleaner is \015\012always ready for use.
  6. \015\012
  7. \015\012\015\012\011\011\011\011\011\011\011\011\015\012\015\012\011\011\011\011\011\011\011\011\015\012\015\012\011\011\011\011\011\011\011\0114. If your vacuum cleaner turns itself off, it could be that \015\012it's overheating. You'll need to check the filters, pipes and brushes \015\012for blockages. We highly recommend that you refer any suspected cable \015\012damages to electrical repair professionals.

Empty the bag or turbine collection unit regularly to \015\012ensure that your vacuum cleaner is never too full to work properly and \015\012esnure air circulates within the machine.

Use the appopriate tools for use within hard to reach \015\012areas. This will ensure the vacuum pipe is free damages and dents. \015\012Using the correct tools will also prevent dirt and spillages from \015\012spreading.

Make sure you investigate any burning smells or strange \015\012noises straight away. It may indicate something serious.
