How do i detach hose to remove blockage? - Miele S7210 Bagged Upright Vacuum

Answers :

Lift the hose out as if you were going to use the attachments. At the base of the hose there is a swivel to adjust the hose 90 degrees. Where the lower section of the hose attaches to the swivel you will see that if you give the hose about a quarter turn then lift, it should come off to check for blockage. Also check the rear suction port located near the hose swivel for blockage. It resembles a parallelogram in shape and come off with 2 visible plastic screws.

I have a Model 116.35922500 Kenmore upright vacuum cleaner. It makes a loud air noise when using the vacuum. I have disconnected and removed the hose to see if anything is lodged in the hose and it appears clear. It makes the noise when the hose is connected. When I remove it, the noise stops. When I place my hand over the hose, the nose re appears. I sounds as though the noise is coming from the fan or internal parts of the machine. So, when there is a load or pull on the machine, it mak

I have an old Miele canister vacuum and I do not know how to disassemble the hose to check for a clog. I think it sucked up a nerf ball the size of a ping pong ball. I changed the bag but it did isn't appear to be in the bag. The vacuum powers on but I do not have suction with the hose, and since the hose has hard plastic elbow joints I do not want to pry them apart and break it

I have a Sears Upright vacuum cleaner, model 116.35922500. The vacuum wasn't picking up. I discovered a clog in the nozzle hose. I attempted to remove the cover of the brush unit to clear the clog. I was unable to remove the cover completely, but was able to clear the clog. My problem now is that I cannot replace the cover correctly. Is there a way to remove this cover? Thanks, Elizabeth

I have a new bag in, checked the hoses for clogs have the motor cover off showing motor runs. Problem is vacuum has no suction in hose area, cover off where bag is and the air blows out of filter. hoses are clean no blockage.

Have you checked the filter? Many vacuums have a filter under or behind the bag to keep dust and dirt out of the motor. If this gets clogged the motor can't get any suction. Also look for holes in the hose or in the small segment between hose and bag ... Vacuums

When I flip the switch on my sebo x1 upright, a red light comes to the brush and bag icons. However, I cleaned out the hose and checked to make sure there is no obstruction from the brush to the hose also, or from the hose to the bag. It is clear that juice is coming to the vacuum, but there is no sign of life except the two red lights.

Thanks for contacting fixya. You should pull out the bag and reset the machine. You should take all the user replaceable items. And turn it on. You will get lot of errors. Then turn the machine off. Put back all the accessor ... Sebo Automatic X1 Bagged Upright Vacuum

I have a Kenmore 116.36932 (upright-bagless vacuum) that the motor protector by-pass valve has opened. I've clean out the area between the agitator brush where the flexible extension hose starts. There was some blockage there. I checked the rest of the system (extenstion hose, back filter area, pipe area to canister and area to side filter. I took the 2 filters out and the by-pass valve is still open. Where else could there be a blockage that I can take apart to clean and put back together

I am getting very little suction from the motor. The hose is clear, the bag new. When I open the bag cover, plug the hose in and turn the vacuum on, there is next to no suction from the motor. What do you think is wrong? How do I remove the cord retractor to get to the two screws that hold the back of the canopy cover?

Your problem is probably is you don't have a proper seal in your chasis. A vacuum has to be sealed tight or the air will leak out and the seal broken. Check around the whole body after the bag is in and check for any airflow noise. I could help more ... Vacuums

My vac has lost suction. When I vacuum it picks up very little, but when I remove the wand hose it has good suction. We have cleaned both filters, checked for blockage in all hoses & cleaned the beater bar brush. All to no avail. Is it the motor? Or is there a blockage deep in the vac somewhere? We're debating repair versus buying a new one. Hope you can help. Thanks.

Hello, I have a problem with my Eureka Powerline bagged upright vacuum. It has a 12 amp motor and is model #4352, Type D. It was probably bought new in 1998. My problem is, while vacuuming today the motor seemed to slow down all of the sudden and then began smelling like burning rubber. I shut the vacuum off to check for blockages but could not find anything blocked. When I then turned it on again it runs but seems to only be running at 1/2 the motor speed and still has the rubber buring smell.

It sounds like a rubber sealing in the motor has come loose and is being constantly rubbed against the walls of the motor with would cause the smell and loss of motor speed caused by the fricton of rubber against the rod so if you can get to the moto ... Vacuums
