I have a Zanussi 1700W bagless upright vacuum cleaner which keeps cutting out after about 5/10 mins use. I had to replace the rubber drive belt which snapped not long after purchasing and it was fine for a while, but now its just keeps cutting out after a small amount of use. Nothing wrong with belt which is still intact so we don't know what the problem is. It's a great cleaner otherwise - but it's driving us mad!! Please help!

Windtunnel belt I have a new Hoover Windtunnel canister. The belt keeps coming off. It happened a couple weeks ago (several times after putting the belt back on) so I assumed I might need a new belt as it might have dried out at the store. I have tried it centered, to the left and to the right....can you help. I am v

We have a Hoover upright vacuum cleaner, model Core 7. There is a switch that turns on and off the brush drive. This operates via a cam with a bearing putting pressure on the final drive belt to engage the brush head. My brush head is not turning and with the lever set to engage the drive there is still considerable slack in the final drive belt. There appears to be only a bearing deflecting the belt, should there be a pully or other device mounted on this bearing? There is so much slack a

The belt on my used Eureka Boss 5857 upright slips off the end of the motor shaft every time the vacuum is used. When I turn the brush roll slowly by hand, the belt walks toward the end of the shaft. It looks like there was a plastic projection from the base that snapped off, and maybe that plastic piece used to block the belt from falling off. Do I need to try to reconstruct that plastic piece, or is something else wrong?

This last time I replaced the belt after a year, it shredded 3 of them on the outside edge of the belt in about 5 minutes of use. I ordered a new brush roller & heavy duty belt which I installed. It began shredding the belt in less than 5 minutes of use. What is your suggestion? Is this a known problem with this model? Eureka says no and is not standing behind it.

The only reason why it would be shredding the belt is if the pulleys were not lined up correctly. Check the allignement of the belt to make sure there is nothing kepping the pulleys from being in line. The other thing that it could be is if the rolle ... Vacuums
