Having problems with your Polti Vaporetto 2400 Canister Steam Vacuum ?

Heating up but not producing steam. Tank may be furred up as limescale deposits in water when tank emptied.

Answers :

OK. This is an actual guaranteed solution to the Shark "No Steam" \012problem. The problem is well documented as hard water clogs the steam \012mops head. And using distilled water should prevent problem (not \012confirmed). But now that you have the problem, how do you unclog?

First\012 off, Ive had two now. And my solution probably invalidates 1 year \012warranty, but I'm not interested in going through all the rigamarole of \012taking my mop back to the store. Maybe yours has expired or you want \012solution now like me.

This requires a drill. If you've tried the\012 white vinegar route like me and it hasn't worked, and the toothpick, \012now it's time to get serious.

Remove the four screws. Then \012slide connection back and remove final two screws. Try blowing thru the\012 small round hole at the end of the connector. If you can't blow \012through it, the smallest choke point near the hole is your problem.

Using\012 the smallest drill bit in the standard drill set (not sure the size but\012 it fits easily in the hole with room to spare) drill gently into the \012hole until it breaks thru the first resistance. Now blow through the \012hole. It should blow through easily now. Run some white vinegar thru \012to loosen up and remove other hard water deposits if you like.

Replace nozel. Replace two screws, Replace 4 screws. Done.

Use only bottled distilled water from now on would probably be a good idea.

In\012 my opinion the problem is a design flaw built in by the Shark people. \012Appropriate name. Its called planned obsolescence. :( It breaks, you \012buy a new mop head (or entire mop if you can't find their part's \012website.)

I have a Bissell Steam Cleaner that is not sucking up the water when cleaning. I used a full container of water and when it was empty I emptied out the water, only to find very little dirty water in it. I noticed the window, as i used it, seemed like it wasnt sucking up the water. I took the plastic cover off to clean it (it didnt look very dirty in the first place), an i noticed that the grey plastic flap was on but not moving up or down. I thought there may be dirt in it that prevented it from

My Reliable T730A Canister Steam Vacuum is not working. The red (empty) light stays on even though its full and it doesn't produce any steam. I doubt that the water is getting down into the heating chamber. How easy is it to take apart and clean or can I just blow compressed air through it? Any help most appreciated. Steve [email protected]

You can probably just blow it out with the air compressor. If you have a air pressure regulator on the air compressor then I would turn it down to about 30-40 psi. Then try to blow out the line. ... Reliable T730A Canister Steam Vacuum

My Steam Vac F59149 will not vacuum up the cleaning solution. I have checked the usual culprits. The dirty water tank is empty, the yellow float is not up too high. This is a relatively new appliance, so the way for the water is not blocked, there is just no suction. The warm air is blowing, the brushes are spinning. What next?

November 2008 I bought a Simac Stirella 9000D steam generator iron. Recently its been leaking water out the bottom of the regenerator. It makes a noise when it is trying to get the steam to the iron and it works then but afterwards when the noise stops it stops steaming and I find a puddle of water underneath the regenerator. Also a little steam comes out of the water tank at the top. I understand this is happening because of scale in the base unit. Can I get something to get rid of the scale? -

Hi, I've a Tefal Steam Generator Express Turbo 2910. It won't "steam". The solenoid works when the button is pressed. The pump works. I've cleaned the tank (with white vinegar as recommended on this site!) thoroughly. The water from the steam tank is only "hot" (not scalding as I'd expect it to be). When first switched on and hot enough there is the TINIEST whiff of steam when the button is pressed then nothing more. Do you think this could be the Thermostat Part CS00094126, or can you
