The brush wouldn't work when the selector switch was in carpet mode. Took the power head apart and removed the motor. Everything o.k. in the power head. Checked and found that the neutural wire had pulled out of the connector, the connector was never crimped at the factory. What a day! Took 2 hours and a large pizza to get it done. Neutral wire was in the hose just below the handle. Reconnected the wire and crimped it, put everything back together. It works!!!!

We have had the power wires that run through the swivel elbow at the end of the main handle extensions and the power head break after being repaired two times. The new swivel elbow and wiring connection was installed bya local, non-electrolux vacuum shop each time. What is the trick?

Have them replace at the Aerus Electrolux shop. Aerus uses a higher grade plastic (Lexan, read about it on the net) which should last the life of the the power nozzle and wands. The part and labor will have a 1 year warranty. ... Electrolux Epic 6500 Vacuum

Hoover Vacuum My Hoover cannister model s3614 "runabout powermax" suddenly lost power to the agitator roller in the rug brush. Where the wire cord enters the power brush, the covering has rubbed off exposing the wires which are not bare but still have their own covering. For a while the power came and went as I manipulated the wires but finally died. Is this something I can fix myself or is it going to be an expensive professional repair? (Warrantee has elapsed.) Thanks.

The power head of my DC 21 keeps cutting off as soon as I start moving the hose around. The only way to get it going again is to step on the main switch on the canister, then the whole cycle of off and on starts again. I have replaced the entire power head and tested the continuity of all the wires in the hose and they are good. The repair shop says the PCB is bad but can not get one. What can I do ?

Not much. my only suggestion is to dig through the internet and try and find that pcb it may take awhile but it would be worth a shot. if you dont think you can make the repair take it to repair shop with new pcb and let them do it. ... Dyson Genuine DC-21 "Stowaway" Spare HEPA Filter, Dyson

The power head keeps shorting out during use. one of the connecting prongs from the handle to the power head is black instead of silver and is smaller in diameter like it has been arcing inside the connection. could this be the problem and if so can I replace it or will I have to take it to a repair facility. Thank you for your help, Jim Carey [email protected]

This is a problem with the connection in the wands and the powerhead. Because they are shorting out you may have to replace the neck on the power nozzle. (Leave that to a pro). But you will definatly have to purchase a new wand as replacement wires a ... Electrolux Lux 7000 Bagged Canister Vacuum

Spare wire? My SEBO X4 flex had to have the fex shortened because the cable sheathing had come out of the internal gripper and there was a couple of inches of two strand wire hanging out the cable entry point before the insulation sheathing started. No problem doing this but on the live switch terminal there was a piggy back spade connector. The second wire from this went down inside the handle and just ended with a bare terminal hanging in space. It hadn't come off anything, there wasn't anyth

My dyson vacuum cleaner doesn't seem to have the same suction power it used to. I have cleaned out the canister and have taken apart the vacuum head (for cleaning carpets) and it doesn't seem to be blocked but it seems to lose suction by the time it reaches the head. The suction is strong at the end of the hose (where you attach the telescopic attachment with vacuum head) Any ideas? Thanks, Irene

I have a Series G Kirby Model G7D. The other day when I was vacuuming all of a sudden the TechDrive (Power Drive Assist N/D) pedal fell off. I see the hole that it goes into but when I put it in it's loose and falls out and doesn't control the power drive anymore. When I shook the vacuum I heard something rattling around inside the vacuum head. So I unscrewed the bottom and looked inside and found a small metal part labeled K3 on one side and T on the other side. It looks like it would fit

I Have two questions concerning my AIRVAC AV2500 Red Series Vacuum System. How do you replace the light in the floor power head sweeper and can you replace the permanent fabric filter? We had the system installed in 2004 and the light in the sweeper head just went out and can not find any manual on line on how to replace it. The filter if not torn but avter 6 years it probably needs some kine of cleaning or replaced even though it says permanent. Any help would be appreciated. Jim McCluskey
