Having problems with your Rainbow Vacuums ?

My rainbow vac is sputtering water where the motor houseing attaches to the water pan.

Answers :

Make sure the seperater is correctly in place. Also check for any cracks or chips in the water pan. And check the rubber gasket that seals the motor unit to the water pan. If all else fails take it in for a service check. Any reputable shop should check it out for little to nothing.

My Hoover steam vac dual v clean water and detergent tank leaks water before attached to the vac and during cleaning

Recently my central vac system started making a louder than usual and laboured sound when in uise, enough so that I took note and inspected the canister and motor while running. The motor was trowing off blue sparks and looked like it could 'POP' at any moment. I will not risk using it until I know what the problem is and how to repair it. My assumption is the motor needs to be replaced. The system came with the resale house I bought 3 yrs ago but I do not know the age of the system itself.

Hi, the motor could be overheating. Most vacuums have a heat sensor that shuts the vac. off if there is a clog. Let it sit, feel if it's hot. If so you may have a blockage of dirt etc. Try to clear it, let it cool and tart it up. I hope this helps, i ... Kirby Heritage II Vacuum

My bissell powersteamer model 1695 does not spray enough water out. Hardly anything will come out of the handheld attachment either, just a few drips. With the floor unit, it appears the only water coming out is a result of gravity when the control is squeezed. Nothing appears to be plugged up with debrie or deposits. There does not appear to be any kind of drive belt for the pump as it seems to operate off the main vacuum motor. Any ideas?

For the first time, I tried using my Kirby Sentria shampoo attachment. I've lost the manual but found instructions online for making the swap from regular vac to shampoo-er and got it all assembled. The foam laid down just fine, however, when I run the vac back over the foam to pick it up, there is not a stitch of water showing up in the tray. First I thought maybe it was bc I hadn't put that much of the foam/water onto the carpet, but 12 hours later, the carpet is still wet in spots. Clearly

I have a Craftsman wet dry vac with blower capability (22 L). While I was using it to **** up water, the water came out of the blower hose. Now I can't get it to work as a vacuum. What can I do to fix this problem? Is there a toggle switch somewhere that allows me to choose vacuum or blower? Also, will the vacuum still work without the filter nut attached to the plate? Please let me know at your earliest convenience. Thank you.

I was vacuuming today, and it was doing fine, then all of a sudden the motor kicked up a notch or two, then I heard the LOUDEST POP!!!...I turned it off, went and unplugged it, took off the top of the canister, then took the water pan to empty it, because I seen something on the bottom, as I was pouring the water out, I seen on the bottom, ALOT of, what looked like, small bands of metal...could you tell me what may have happened..??

I have an old Shop Vac model 3331.5. This is a 12 gallon 1.5 hight peak shop vac with a detachable blower. After many years I decided to use the blower feature, but have lost the lost the manual. Question; how do I attach the hoses to the blower? The motor has that cap on it the direct the flow of air in one direction and the wide hoses do not fit over it. I may be missing a part, but I would think the directional cap would have to come off anyway.
