Having problems with your Roomba Robotic Floor Bagless Vacuum ?

Battery temperature sensor.

\015 Hello, I found a roomba discovery without a battery and charger, just the robot. I made a battery package with 12 x 2450 AA NiMH energizer cells that I had and connected them to the roomba it's alive! but now I want to charge the batteries using the roomba. I have a 24 volts 1.3 amps power supply and I connected it to the roomba. When it is connected the roomba doesn't start (I thing this is normal please confirm) but the problem is that when i messure the battery contacts tho check if the batteries are receiving charge, there is no voltage. Also there is no indication of any led that the roomba is charging.\015\012I was thinking that the roomba is not sending charge to the batteries because it is not receiving the temperature sensor signal (can be this possible?)\015\012So:\015\012This voltage it's ok to supply the roomba an charge the batteries?\015\012Do I have to see any indication when the batteries are charging?\015\012Can I simulate (with a resistor or someting) the temp sensor?\015

1. Battery configuration is incredibly important and must be matched to the requirements of the device.
\0122. Battery charging is as much an art as a science. Just slapping any old power supply on a battery pack to charge it is essentially technical sue-ee-side.
\012Yes, the car battery folks make it look easy; but many, many millions of dollars and development hours went into that simple-looking technology just for that reason: to make it look easy.
\012You may have damaged the batteries and probably damaged the circuit board as well. There is a reason that companies spend millions in development. Unless you have a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, you should stick to factory-designed and -authorised parts.
When charging roomba will show a pulsing red power led and if the battery does not have a feed back wire it wont charge

IRobot rumba 4000 seems to run ok and then starts making a kinda hi pitched growling noise and slows way down. it is very clean(blown clean with air compressor)sensors are clear ,newly installed well lubricated on ends of brush and beater bar, new battery. it seems like the wheel tracks may be dragging . i have cleaned and lubricated where i could on them but can't find a way to totally remove and inspect wheel tracks.

It sounds like your Roomba's brush gears are not working. Run the robot without the dust bin to see if the brushes are turning. If they are not, the robot will need to be replaced. Contact iRobot CS for support at (877) 855-8593. ... iRobot Roomba 4000 Bagless Robotic Vacuum

I bought a roomba pro elite robotic floorvac at a tag sale from an elderly couple who apparently used this vac very little as it was very clean and she had never even used it enough to use the extra filters that came with it, she said it was just too much for her to bend down to work it or move it. i suspect she stored it but kept the battery in it. after charging it, it powers up and sings a little tune, but then shuts off. i cleaned everything, including the sensors. it still shuts off, do you

I purchased a brand new P113 Ryobi charger about 2 years ago. It has never worked. If I put a P104 battery in for a charge, it looks like it works correctly. I push the battery tester on the battery itself, and it says full charge, but when I go to use the bateery, it dies right away. I have tried three new P104 batteries. The batteries charge on my charger at work with no problem. The funny thing is, I don't need a battery in the charger and the charger does the same thing, It runs the test

If you have your receipt, check with Ryobi to see if it is still under warranty. It comes with either a 2 or 3 year warranty, depending on when it was purchased. If it is still covered, get it replaced/repaired. If it is not, buy the P117 charger. $3 ... Ryobi P113 18 Volt One Charger 140501001

Battery charge I just purchased a new battery pack insert for my Roomba, Replacement was a breeze and it now works great. My question is; The last battery I bought ( not from you) was a full cased roomba battery pack that didn't last a year. Roomba says leave the r Roomba charging all the time so it's ready when you need it, and that's nice but I feel that leaving it charging like that it will kill the battery faster as it is always warm to the touch.
