Having problems with your Roomba Robotic Floor Bagless Vacuum ?

Can not charge thr battery

\015 My Roomba 4210 charging station's lights blink and the Roomba shows a charge but once it is removed from the station and power button is pressed the Roomba does not work. Assumed this was a battery problem so I replaced the battery but this is still an issue. The only difference is the amount of time it takes for the charging light to show a full charge. Before it took forever now it is only a short period of time.\015

Answers :

When you press the "clean" button after charging, does the Roomba give you any audible tones? Those tones are the key to understanding failures in the 400 series. See chart below to decode those tones
If you get no tones at all, then either (1) you're not getting power from the battery to the main circuit board or (2) the main circuit board is dead. You really have to open the unit up to figure out which it is. Circuit board replacement is a pretty involved procedure since it requires disassembly of almost the entire robot. If you are brave and want to try it, replacement PCAs are available from places like www.RoboticVacParts.com. They are my favorite shop because they sell parts tha iRobot refuses to sell to consumers and they're prices always beat what iRobot charges.

I purchased a brand new P113 Ryobi charger about 2 years ago. It has never worked. If I put a P104 battery in for a charge, it looks like it works correctly. I push the battery tester on the battery itself, and it says full charge, but when I go to use the bateery, it dies right away. I have tried three new P104 batteries. The batteries charge on my charger at work with no problem. The funny thing is, I don't need a battery in the charger and the charger does the same thing, It runs the test

If you have your receipt, check with Ryobi to see if it is still under warranty. It comes with either a 2 or 3 year warranty, depending on when it was purchased. If it is still covered, get it replaced/repaired. If it is not, buy the P117 charger. $3 ... Ryobi P113 18 Volt One Charger 140501001

Battery charge I just purchased a new battery pack insert for my Roomba, Replacement was a breeze and it now works great. My question is; The last battery I bought ( not from you) was a full cased roomba battery pack that didn't last a year. Roomba says leave the r Roomba charging all the time so it's ready when you need it, and that's nice but I feel that leaving it charging like that it will kill the battery faster as it is always warm to the touch. The battery will not charge in the sweeper. I can remove the battery and wire it to the power supply for charging and it will charge up and run the sweeper. I am currently unsure, it my Dyson DC16 battery is charging as it should. I read all the posts about Powersupply voltage of 28V and defective PCBs. I now need to know from someone who's DC16 is working properly what voltage the battery should have when it is charged. I currently only measure 24.2V in mine. Supposing there are 6 batteries in there with nominal 3.6 voltage each, which would add up to 21.6, I supposed one could charge with up to 25.2V (4.2*6) and once reach lower the voltage ke

My robot will not charge. Tried multiple resets and new battery from irobot.com (both suggested by Irobot customer service) but got nowhere. The vacuum did work for a short time (until the new partially charged battery ran out). If I bypass the internal charging circuits and charge directly from the charger (with jumpers) the robot seems to work fine. Unfortunatey, there is no mechanism to turn off the charge cycle, so this is not practical.

My Roomba Discovery 4210 seems to be dead. Specifically, with or without a battery, and whether on the charging station or plugged directly into the charging unit, I see no lights on the display whatsoever.
