Having problems with your Roomba Robotic Floor Bagless Vacuum ?

New battery. Charged for 24 hours. Light is green, but after 20 seconds light turns red and it stops.

Answers :

What may also help is to reset the internal charging circuit: remove the battery and hold down the Roomba's [Power] button for at least 10 seconds, then re-install the battery and charge for 16 hours.
There's a chance that the battery you bought is bad. There's a greater chance that the problem is with the charger. If you're using the dock to charge, try plugging the charger directly into the roomba just to rule that out. If that doesn't fix the problem, I would try borrowing or buying a new charger, and see if that works. If a new charger and new battery don't solve the problem, the problem must be with your roomba itself.

I have the IROBOT discovery that just got a new battery. IT ran great! As the battery was dying, I put it into the home base. The "brick" is green, the home base has two green lights and the on/off pulsates red. It never charges though. Eventually the red light stops pulsating. Customer service said to reset it, clean the metal, and nothing works! They told me to just buy another one. The problem is that I know it was working! Help!

The best thing that you can do is take the charger into somewhere that can test it for the proper output voltage. It should be somewhere very close to 22 volts with no fluctuation. The charger is the easiest thing to test in this case. ... iRobot Roomba 4210 Bagless Robotic Vacuum

Err5 When charging the battery, it starts out flashing amber, but after several minutes it turns red and the err button flashes five times. The troubleshooting says to hold the buttons above and below the power button for ten seconds and this may resolve some software issues. I tried that but it goes back to the amber light then red again. I replaced the battery hoping that was the issue, but it still does the same thing.

Roomba Schedular I have a Roomba Scheduler and it has worked great until recently. Suddenly it quit working. When it is charging the power light goes from red to green as it should, showing it is ready to use. When we turn it on to use, it will only go on for a few seconds then it shuts off like it is out of power. It is like it isn't really charged. Is there something I can try to make it work?

My 400 series Discovery Roomba will no longer charge. It shows a green "charged" light, but when I hit clean, all lights/vacuum, etc just go out and it stops. Irobot says that the entire unit needs to be replaced, but it has to have something to do with the charging mechanism. Any Ideas? I've tried the system reset, and removing/replacing the battery. No effect. The robot doesn't give me the "uh-oh" beeps to be charged. It just stops and goes dead.
