Unless you know what you're doing, you can easily mess the whole thing up. It's not hard to replace the motor, but its a task you have to pay close attention to. If you can, get the motor from Sebo and then take it to a local vacuum shop and have it installed. But first make sure they are an authorized Sebo ship

Have called hoover about brushes they are saying that it is the whole motor and would be cheaper to by a new machine altogether. What do you think? Can just the turbine be replaced and if so what is approx cost? Is this something I can do simply by myself? If so how? thanks so much, Mel

You can get just the turbine. You would have to take the top cover off to do that. They are I believe around $50-$60 for one. Take the brush block out, then remove the screws from the bottom. There will be 2 long screws, they go into the turbine. ... Vacuums

Does the hoover runabout u427-930 have a filter? I replaced the belt and next to the light bulb was a square gray mat that looked like a filter covering a screen full of holes that looked like the motor was behind. I think it was a mat of cat hair so I took it off and threw it away; I just want to make sure that it wasn't a filter that I need to replace.

From doing a search on the internet and hoovers website it looks as if this unit does not have a filter. Such as a hepa that needs to be replaced or that is washable. So i think you are safe and dont need to worry about it. ... Hoover Elite U5061-900 Bagged Upright Vacuum

I have a CT600 power brush that would not power up. Thinking the motor was bad in it, I replaced it with a new CT700 power brush, I am still experiencing the same problem the power brush itself does not seem to be getting electic power, but the Vacuum unit does come on with suction.

First try connecting the power nozzle directly to the hose. If it works, the problem is due to a broken wire or faulty connection in the wands. At least one wand will need to be replaced.\015\012My guess is it's probably due to a broken or di ... Broan-NuTone VX550 Bagged Central System Vacuum

I have a dyson root cyclone. i dismantled it to replace the belt, it is not the belt which is on the roller brush, it is the belt which is from the motor, it was easy to take out as it was broken, i will get new one tomorrow now im wondering how do i fit it in.

Yes you do need to replace the belt they stretch out. Think of a belt like a big rubber band if you were to stretch it out and hold a lighter to it the rubber band would stay stretched out. That is the same thing that happen ... Bissell Vacuums

The motor is very loud and dust is coming out. I was told (by a vacuum salesman) that bagless vacuums only last two years and that it would cost more to repair than to replace. Do you think this is true?
