Spare wire? My SEBO X4 flex had to have the fex shortened because the cable sheathing had come out of the internal gripper and there was a couple of inches of two strand wire hanging out the cable entry point before the insulation sheathing started. No problem doing this but on the live switch terminal there was a piggy back spade connector. The second wire from this went down inside the handle and just ended with a bare terminal hanging in space. It hadn't come off anything, there wasn't anyth

On the underside of the handle, there's a small screw close to where the metal and plastic parts join. Undo this screw. This will allow you to pull the plastic part out of the metal part - not very far, but just far enough so that you can separate th ... Sebo X4 Bagged Upright Vacuum

Electrical problem I have an electrical problem with the above cleaner. My wife recently extended the power cable by yanking it out of the reeling mechanism too violently. The cleaner stopped there and then. I suspect that the cable has become disconnected inside the cleaner and I would be grateful for information as to how I can mend this problem. Nigel

May have broken the cord, in which case you will probably have to repace the reel cord asm. But you will have to take it apart to find out. Take off the bumper that gores around the cannister, there are 3 or 4 clips that hold the two halfs together ... Sebo Air Belt K2 Bagged Canister Vacuum

Cord replacement I need to replace a damaged cord (the reel works). How do I get the top off so I can remove the back end? Once I get it off, will I be able to change the cord, or do I need to buy the whole reel assembly? (and thanks for the help - I love this site!)

You will probably have to replace the whole reel cord. Depending on your model, on each side, there is a bar in the middle that will slide off, then the 2 halfs will come apart. They will only slide in one direction. If an older model, there are s ... Electrolux Lux 5500 Canister Vacuum

Sebo X4 is squealing when pulled back. Takes a while after it's been running for this to happen. We changed the roller brush (needed it anyway) but didn't take care of the noise. Could the wheels be making this sound? At least that's what my staff thinks is going on... I own a commercial cleaning company and all we use are sebos... they're an amazing machine!

Yep - we think Sebos are pretty good too. I work at a Sebo sales and repair dealership! The wheels are a good bet - I can't think of anything else that might cause the noise. If in doubt, I suppose you could simply wheel one around for a while when s ... Sebo X4 Bagged Upright Vacuum
