Having problems with your Shop Vac Vacuums ?

Can't install a bag for my Craftsman 16 gallon shop-vac

\015 HiI purchased a second hand Craftsman 60 liter (16 gallon) shop vac. It came with no bag, so I purchased a couple of 16 gallon bags at my local hardware store. The problem is, I can't attach the bags to where the intake hose comes in, because there isn't a way to attach the bag to the intake port. Am I missing something ??My smaller shop vac, has a piece of pipe, with a sheath on one side, which is permanently installed, but the Craftsman doesn't have that sheath or any kind of connection to attach a clean bag.The Craftsman is extremely powerful, and I'd like to connect it to my table saw to collect most of the saw-dust that comes from cutting wood. However, I don't want the saw-dust to go directly into the container of the shop-vac, but rather into a clean bag.Any help would on this matter would be much appreciated.\015

Well, good news, you don't need a bag! The trash just settles to the bottom of the bucket and you just dump it out.

\015\012I own one of these -- it has many little operational anoyances -- like wheels falling off, lid popping off, etc. If you run into these scenarios and want help on fixes, drop me a line.

Over heating? My 10 gallon 4HP shop vac has started shutting off after about 30 sec. after I turn it on to use. It smells real hot after I shut it off. I have changed the filter and the bag, which did not solve the problem. Any suggestions on what the problem could be? It's only about 31/2 years old and I really don't use it all that much, mainly for getting up dust and cob-webs from my garage.

My shop vac is plugged. The hose is clear. The filter is removed. The filter bag is not installed. It still won't draw a suction. It sounds like it is plugged. The motor whines at a higher-than-usual pitch. What can I do?

Turn off the vac, take the head off of it and remove the filter paper. Inside, there's a white ball (bigger than golf ball, smaller than baseball) that's inside a cage. This is designed to keep water out of the blower when the vac tips over, and sh ... Vacuums

I had a real heck of a time with the bag installation, because after the pop i zipped it up and started to use it and then the bag of the vac, not the replaceable bag fell off and i kept putting it back on but it kept falling off and when i looked inside the bag to reattach it to the vac cleaner i noticed that the dust was all inside. i haven't even used it that much as i keep it to do the upstairs bedroom only. i love that it is so lightweight and easy to use and i hope that someone can co

I have an old Shop Vac model 3331.5. This is a 12 gallon 1.5 hight peak shop vac with a detachable blower. After many years I decided to use the blower feature, but have lost the lost the manual. Question; how do I attach the hoses to the blower? The motor has that cap on it the direct the flow of air in one direction and the wide hoses do not fit over it. I may be missing a part, but I would think the directional cap would have to come off anyway.

We have a series 90S, 2.5 gallon Shop Vac. We used it for the first time to try and **** up water in the basement. Each time we turned it on, it would shut down after collecting less than 1" of water. We had to remove and squeeze out the foam sleeve each time, before it would work again (nowhere near 2.5 gallons!). Any ideas? Is the plastic sleeve that can move up and down inside, the float (poorest manual I've ever seen!)? Should there be a ball float that we're missing? Thanks for any s
