The removable filter at the front is cleaned regularly, and is not clogged. However, the machine appears to be suffering from being clogged by dust, as it has started to make a high pitched noise, and I fear it may burn out. I can see some dust inside the front panel but cannot see how to remove the front to clean it out. (NB. I have located two screws - one on either side - but cannot see how to proceed further.) Please help! Thank you.

The motor in my Powermate (Kenmore Canister 116.27614700) is whining, high pitched, but still works. A local shop told me the motor is dying (the one in the Powermate that drives the beater bar) and would cost $150 for them to repair. The machine is only 1.5 years old and I paid $300...yikes. I think I can fix it but don't understand why the foam gasket that apparently wraps around the motor costs as much as the motor. This is assuming that part 32 (ks747156) is the foam I see glued to my cur

Our problem with our Rainbow E Series is that it has sucked water up and blown it out through the lower part of the hepa filter, making the filter wet and dirty. This had happened before and the repair shop did not see any problems with the machine, so we replaced the filter and were very carful not to overfill the tank and to change the water often. Now it has happened again and ruined another filter. Do you know what could be causing this issue? Can the filter be cleaned or will a new one be

Water leak I just bought this steamer a few days ago, and already I am having problems, when I fill the water tank that your suppost to fill the water runs out before I even turn the machine on. I have tried using plugs to keep it from doing this just so I can shampoo my carpet, this seems to work to a point, considering the fact that there are two holes underneath close to the brushes and one just a little ways back from that location. Do you know if this is something that should have plugs or

Mystery part Bissell 1699-P. I removed the top cover and a part came tumbling out (from the rear of the machine - towards the handle area). I have no idea were this part belongs. I have a schematic of the cleaner but I can not locate the part on it. I tried to copy and paste a picture of the part but that isn't working so I will attempt to discribe the part: There is nothing stampted on the part that I can see. It is plastic(white), 2" long, 3/16" in diamater. One end is U shaped (u-shape is 1/4
