Steam escapes Steam Buggy

\015 The steam just started escaping where the top is screwed down. My husband said the seal has deteriorated. Can this part be replaced?\015

Answers :

I've faithfully used by little yellow Steam Buggy to clean tight corners in my replacement windows and was always to get them looking new again and many other small places that needed blown out with steam when wiping or even scrubbing with a toothbrush doesn't work. I started to use it today and the steam started to come out around the black cap. After searching for a solution on the net I was very disappointed to find everyone else was having the same problem with no real solution. I had my hubby look at it and he said the gasket was worn and slip an o-ring on top of the gasket and now it back to working fine.

Just wanted to pass it along. A 10cent O ring will fix it.
This happened to me also and I checked the hose and found it to be hot but the steam seemed to be trapped and exhausted through the seal cap. I then found the hose had hardened. I shut the machine off and waited until it was safe to re-open the seal cap and poured out what water was left over. I discovered there was a significant amount of sediment built up (perhaps inside the hose) that was the likely source of the steam being trapped. I LOVE the quality of this machine when it's working but need access to helpful resources to solve these kind of problems.
