We bought a Philips Intellicare 8030 ironinng system in 2005. Two days ago water from the plastic water container does not go inside bigger water tank where we think the water gets heated up. When the heating tank is empty there is no steam that comes out of the iron. Also, there is water dripping off profusely from under the iron where the steam normally comes out. While using, steam stopped coming out in force at the port levels in the head. Suddenly started high pitch whining, pressed button just above connection site and end flew off with great force pouring water onto floor and carpet. Unplugged immediately for safety and unable to get it to deliver steam force again. Less than one year old and used only 8-10 times only in walk areas where there is no carpet with distilled water.
