I have a BC-A41 vacuum cleaner which has been working well, but now it appears to blow stuff away from the cleaner as I hoover. I find the hose packed up with stuff, but no content in bag. I recently changed the bag...could it be that the bag is not fitted correctly..I am puzzled by the instruction to put the bottom under the rib. I am a pensioner on my own, and would welcome any help. I have a Kirby Heritage 84. Great condition except the part that connects the innerbag is missing. I don't even know what it is called. I can open the vacuum cleaner bottom and see that the part is missing. It should be oval where it connects to the vacuum and then extend into the cloth bag. PLEASE HELP!

I was vacuuming and noticed that the bag needed changing. the red light with the ! inside the triangle also came on. When the bag was changed, the vacuum would not restart. The red light came on. Tried the reset button but nothing happened. Tried unplugging and re-plugging in and nothing happened. Replaced all the filters and still it wouldh't start.
