I have the Miele cat & dog S5000 vacuum. I have had it about 1 year and lately the suction doesn't seem as strong and the full bag indicater is always full. I have followed instructions in manual but nothing works?

Hello, we have a Miele cat and dog turbo 5000 vacuum cleaner which we bought in December. It has just started blowing air out of the grid on the top of the cleaner instead of sucking from the tube. The whole top section which is opened to change the bags doesn't seem to want to clip down properly either. Do you have any ideas> I'm gutted as it was so good until this happened. Thanks Michelle.

The lid not closing properly is almost certainly the cause of your problem. Without that lid sealed tight to the body you will get no suction through the hose. So, the question is: why isn't the lid clipping down properly? Did you just change the bag ... Vacuums

Miele s7000 I first got the vacuum and used it for 20mins then the vacuum just lost the suction, the brush works but it just push the dirt around the house and I can see the dust and dirt flying around.So, I thought maybe the bag was fulled so I put the new bag in but still pushing the dirt around. I have a DC07 and the brush wasn't rotating and I had no suction at the brush but perfect suction through the hose. I noticed a large build up of dog hair around the brush so I took off the cover plate and removed all the hair, cleaned inside the floor/brush housing and cleaned out the hose. I also cleaned the filter and removed the other air access cover and made sure that they were clear. I put everything back and the brush still doesn't turn and there is still no suction through the bottom

Lost suction my DCO7 lost suction in the hose I started taking it apart and cleaning it and looking for clogs (probably more than I should have) and when I put it back together it has awesome suction in the hose but no suction in the base. Miele S514 Solaris Electro Plus with Power Brush. Bought it in 2003. I love it, except the Power Brush just lost power so now I can't vacuum the carpets. I believe it is a SEB 212-2 Power Brush. It sounds as though a belt is rubbing or slightly off-track. The sound is extremely loud. We've removed the plate around the brush bar, made sure the brushes are free of dog hair, and found that the belt appears to be on track. What should we try now?
